Growing Together Through Prayer
Strength for the Work We Are Called to Do
At Collins Family Ministries, our days bring both happiness and challenges. Sometimes, serving children, families, and at-risk youth feels like a lot to handle. If I had to do it alone, it would be too much. Thankfully, our team relies on the strength God gives us through Jesus and the Holy Spirit who lives in us (Eph 3:20-21).
Three Months of Weekly Prayer as a Team
For the past three months, our staff has gathered weekly for prayer. We have shared laughter, tears, and worship, growing closer to each other and to God. We pray for future projects, family reunification, program development, and especially for the children and youth we serve.
Watching God Open Doors
These times are special because they help us build strong bonds as a team. The best part, though, is seeing God provide for those we serve right when they need it. Doors that were closed are now open, families are learning to listen to each other, and children who struggled are now thriving.
A Team Guided by Faith
In these past three months of focused prayer, we have seen new opportunities and felt a real change. I feel grateful to work with a team that works hard and puts others first. But the greatest blessing at Collins is having a team that loves Jesus and looks to Him for guidance.
A Story of Hope and Provision
One family we helped went from being homeless and staying in shelters and hotels to finding safe housing and steady work. How did this happen? We simply answered the phone, gave some food, listened to her concerns, and prayed. Now, this mom goes to church and is able to care for her children.
Trusting God With the Outcome
Prayer takes patience. We have to trust God with the results, knowing He always knows what is best. Sometimes we get to see those results, but even when we do not, we trust God with the outcome. "For nothing will be impossible with God" (Luke 1:37, ESV).
