Where families find strength and children find home.

I have had the privilege of meeting with many children and at-risk youth who have experienced the destructive power of words. Rather than hearing messages of hope, encouragement, and grace, they have often been defined by criticism, rejection, and negativity. Too many have been told what they cannot do or what they will never become instead of being encouraged to see what they can do and who they can become.

Life brings many kinds of suffering. Physical pain can limit our ability to enjoy daily activities. Mental struggles can cloud our thinking and perspective. Emotional wounds can make it difficult to experience joy in our relationships. Most of us have experienced at least one of these forms of suffering, and many have experienced all three.

Some of my most cherished childhood memories revolve around family vacations. We didn’t travel every year, but when we did, those times became unforgettable—not for the destinations, but for the laughter, togetherness, and moments that shaped who I am. Splashing in the pool, feeling the sand between our toes, and sharing simple picnics—these are the memories that truly matter.
