Happy New Year! As we look forward to what 2026 will bring, I want to thank everyone who helped make 2025 such a meaningful year. Collins is here to support children, at-risk youth, and families facing tough times. Our vision is to see families thrive in Christ-centered homes. To flourish means “to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment.”
Creating an Environment Where Families Can Thrive
To make our vision a reality, we need to create a place where those we serve can succeed. Thanks to your generosity in 2025, we started a pilot program that is making a lasting difference for people in Oconee County, South Carolina. Through this program, we have seen a single mom make real progress. She now has a safe, abuse-free home, access to counseling to heal from past trauma, and mentoring to help her build a healthy future.
The Work of Breaking Cycles
Helping families find stability takes hard work. Breaking deep-rooted, unhealthy patterns passed down through generations is challenging, but it matters. In just six months of our single-parent pilot program, we have shown that real change can happen when we face obstacles together and stay committed. Every day, the families we serve have the chance to shape a better future for themselves and the next generations.
A Mission That Lasts
I have always wanted to be part of something that lasts beyond my own life. Serving others deeply means everyone involved gives their all to see Christ honored. At Collins, we see Christ honored in the smiles of children who sleep safely and eat healthy meals. We see it in young adults gaining the skills they need for a successful future. Most of all, I believe God is truly glorified when a family is reunited and restored through our services.
